Wire and cable acceptance and precautions for laying

With the increasing transparency of the market price of wire and cable, the quality requirements of enterprises for cable products will also change to a certain extent, and even some enterprises reduce the material quality of products in order to increase profits, so we should pay attention to inspection when receiving the purchased cable products. The following points should be noted to ensure our safe use.

Step 1: Data Check

Before placing an order with the supplier, it is necessary to communicate in advance to confirm the information that needs to be provided when receiving the goods. Generally, enterprises will provide information such as business license, product production license, quality inspection report, CCC certification certificate, qualification certificate, etc. The information is stamped with the official seal. The above information to be provided can prove that the supplier is a regular supplier and still needs to carry out product quality inspection.

Step 2: Outer packaging inspection

Check whether the outer packaging is complete and not damaged, and whether the standard product brand, specification and model on the packaging should be consistent with the order information at that time.

Step 3: Product Inspection

When receiving the goods, it should be disassembled and inspected in time to check whether the outer sheath of the wire and cable is shiny and free of graininess or other visible problems; secondly, check the conductor, calculate the cross-sectional area of the conductor, and check the quality of the conductor by the color of the conductor . Finally, check the coding on the outer sheath of the wire and cable, and check the information such as model, specification and name.

 Step 4: Length Check

The national standard stipulates that the length error of the wire and cable shall not exceed 0.5% of the total length, so checking the length of the cable is also an important link. If there is no problem with the quality, but the length of the product is deviated, we can calculate it through the relevant formula.

Different ways of laying wires and cables

 Buried laying

The laying method of directly burying the cable in the ground is referred to as buried laying. The low-radiation cable must be protected by armor and anti-corrosion layer, and the bare cable is not allowed to be laid all over the ground. Generally, the depth of the cable trench does not exceed 0.9m, and it is also necessary to lay bricks or protective plates on the cable trench.

Bracket laying

The cable brackets are generally laid in workshops, workshops and cable trenches. The cables are fixed with clips on the installed racks. The horizontal distance between the cable brackets is 1m, and the vertical cable laying should set the clip distance, and the cable clip distance is 1.5m.

Pipe jacking

Pipe jacking is to lay the protective pipe in advance. When the cable is inserted into the pipe, the inner diameter of the pipe is not less than 1.5 times the outer diameter of the cable. Generally, the steel pipe is used as the protective pipe, and the single-core cable is not allowed to be laid through the pipe.

Bridge laying

Cable tray is a structure for erecting cables. The cable is sent from the power distribution room or control room to the electrical equipment through the bridge. The production of the cable tray is factory-based and serialized, the quality is easy to control, the installation is also convenient, and the overall structure is beautiful. It is made of Trays, straight sections, bends, accessories, etc. of the ladder frame are the general term for the continuous rigid structural system supporting cables.
