一、What is a fire-resistant and flame-retardant cable?

      
     Fire-resistant and flame-retardant cables can maintain the integrity of the circuit in the event of a fire and ensure the functional safety and normal operation of key emergency systems. It is widely used abroad for fire alarm systems, smoke detection systems, emergency lighting power systems and public broadcasting systems in large shopping malls, hospitals, offices, stations, airports, residential buildings and other buildings.
The main performance indicators of fire-resistant and flame-retardant cables:
1. Rated voltage: 300/500v;
2. Working temperature: -40°C--+90°C (can not bend when the temperature is lower than 0°C);
3. Minimum bending radius: 6 times the outer diameter of the cable.
4. Circuit integrity fire resistance test: passed BS6387 Class C, W, Z; code C means: 300 volts of voltage level is applied at 950 ° C for 3 hours without breakdown. Code W means: apply 300 volts at 650°C and burn for 15 minutes, then pour water and burn for 15 minutes without breakdown. Code Z means: apply a voltage of 300 volts at 950 ° C while burning and mechanical shock every 30 seconds without breakdown for 15 minutes.

二、Classification of fire-resistant and flame-retardant cables
1. NH-YJV: fire-resistant XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed power cable
It can be laid indoors, in tunnels and pipelines, and can withstand certain laying traction, but the cables cannot withstand external forces, and single-core cables are not allowed to be laid in magnetic material pipelines. If it needs to withstand the action of mechanical external force, it should be armored with steel tape.
It is suitable for occasions with special requirements, such as large-capacity power plants, nuclear power plants, subways, high-rise buildings, etc.
2. YJV: XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed power cable
It can be laid indoors, in tunnels and pipelines, and can withstand certain laying pulls, but the cables cannot withstand external forces, and single-core cables are not allowed to be laid in magnetic material pipelines. If it needs to withstand the action of mechanical external force, it should be armored with steel tape.
3. ZR-VV: flame retardant PVC insulated, PVC sheathed power cable
It can be laid indoors, tunnels, cable trenches, pipelines, inflammable and severely corroded places, but cannot withstand mechanical external forces. If it needs to withstand the action of mechanical external force, it should be armored with steel tape.
Features: In the case of open fire burning, remove the fire source and automatically extinguish within 12s.
4. ZR-YJV: flame retardant XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed power cable
It can be laid indoors, in tunnels and pipelines, and can withstand certain laying traction, but the cables cannot withstand external forces, and single-core cables are not allowed to be laid in magnetic material pipelines. If it needs to withstand the action of mechanical external force, it should be armored with steel tape.
