What is a control cable?

The control cable is a kind of cable to protect the circuit. The main material of the cable is polyvinyl chloride. Because this material has good insulation performance, it can work normally under the rated voltage of 450/750V, which can be very good. control the operation of the circuit. Structure of the control cable

Most of the control cable products are products with a long section, which is determined by the characteristics of the system and equipment used to form the circuit and coil. Therefore, the structure of the control cable can be observed and analyzed from its cross section. Conductors and insulation of control cables are the two basic components required to form a cable product other than bare wires.
1. Conductors: Optical cables for control cables and optical communication networks use optical fibers as conductors and are made of copper, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals with excellent conductivity.
2. Insulation layer: the part that controls the outer periphery of the cable wire to perform electrical insulation. That is, the transmitted current, electromagnetic wave, and light wave can only advance along the wire and cannot flow to the outside. It can cut off the potential on the conductor, that is, the potential difference formed by the surrounding objects, that is, the voltage, to ensure the normal transmission function of the wire, and at the same time ensure the external objects and Human body safety.
3. Protective layer: When the control cable sets the wire and cable products to run in various environments, it is necessary to protect the whole product, especially the parts of the insulating layer.
4. Shielding for cables: In addition to the shielding layer function, electromagnetic isolation, that is, the information transmitted in the cable product does not flow out of the outside, and does not interfere with the instrumentation and other lines of external equipment; the shielding layer is gradually considered to be a basic component of cable products.
5. Filling structure: If these insulated wire cores and wires are paired into cables (or made into cables in multiple times), one is that the shape is not round, and the other is that there is a large gap between the insulated wire cores, so , when making a control cable, it is necessary to make the outer diameter of the cable relatively round and add a filling structure that is convenient for wrapping. In addition, in order to stabilize the cable structure, the manufacture of internal stones is being used.
6. Stretch resistance element: In the past, the armor layer of the wire and cable products bears the tensile force from the outside and the tensile force generated by its own weight. However, in order to protect the optical fiber from micro-stretching force, the control cable is provided with primary and secondary sheaths and special tensile force-bearing elements on the optical fiber structure.
Features of control cables
1. From the perspective of the overall DC resistance, it needs to be within a certain temperature range during the entire use process. In addition, when the copper wire is also required to be 0.4mm, the overall effect of the use will become higher.
2. From the perspective of the insulation electrical strength of the product itself, there is no insulation breakdown between the overall conductors, and the value of ensuring the overall advantage during use is obvious.
3. The entire core wire of the insulation resistor of the control cable can be well grounded, and the overall operating capacity during use is also good.
4. The control cable has the characteristics of moisture-proof, anti-corrosion and damage-proof, and can be laid in tunnels or cable trenches. The control cable transmits power directly from the power distribution point of the power system to the power connection lines of various electrical equipment and appliances. Control cables are cables used for electrical equipment, and the color of the cable core is generally printed with black and white characters.
Precautions for Control Cable Installation

1. Under the eaves. The cables are only suitable if they are not exposed to direct sunlight or extreme heat. Standard LAN cables can be used. Conduit is recommended.
2. On the outer wall. Avoid direct sunlight on the wall and artificial damage, many polymer materials will reduce their service life at this temperature.
3. Inside the pipe (plastic or metal). If it is in the pipeline, pay attention to the damage of the plastic pipeline and the heat conduction of the metal pipeline. Mechanical Damage (Repair Cost) - Fiber optic cables are very expensive to repair, requiring at least two terminations at each discontinuity.
4. Suspended applications/overhead cable. Consider cable sag and stress. Whether the cable is exposed to direct sunlight.
5. Laying directly in the underground cable trench, this environment has the smallest control range. The installation of the cable trench should be regularly inspected for dryness or humidity. Grounding - If the shielding layer of the control cable needs to be grounded, the corresponding standard must be followed.
6. Underground pipelines. In order to facilitate the upgrade of the cable, the underground pipeline should be supplemented with pipelines, so that the cable can be replaced and isolated from the surface pressure and the surrounding environment. But don't hope that the pipe will stay dry forever, which will affect the choice of cable type.
