1. Creep resistance
The alloy material and annealing process of the aluminum alloy conductor reduce the "creep" tendency of the wire under heating and pressure. Compared with pure aluminum, the creep resistance is increased by 300%, and the relaxation problem caused by cold flow or creep is avoided. .
2. Tensile strength and elongation
Compared with pure aluminum conductors, the tensile strength of aluminum alloy conductors is greatly improved. Due to the addition of special components and special processing technology, the elongation rate is increased to 30%, which is safer and more reliable to use.
3. Connection performance
The aluminum alloy material improves its performance in combination with electrical equipment, making it as safe and stable as copper wires connecting electrical equipment. When the conductor is annealed, the iron in the conductor will produce high-strength creep resistance, which can ensure the stability of the connection even if the joint is heated due to overload.
4. Self-weight bearing capacity
Aluminum alloy can increase the tensile strength of pure aluminum. Aluminum alloy cables can withstand 4,000 meters of self-weight, and copper cables can only support 2,750 meters.
5. Anti-corrosion performance
The inherent anti-corrosion properties of aluminum are due to the formation of a thin but strong oxide layer when the aluminum surface is in contact with air, which is especially resistant to various forms of corrosion. Adding rare earth elements to the alloy can further improve the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy, especially the electrochemical corrosion. Aluminum is less affected by harsh environments, so it is widely used in cable conductors, making it an excellent choice for industrial and long-distance circuit transmission. Corrosion is often associated with joining dissimilar metals in wet environments and can be prevented with appropriate protective measures such as lubricants, antioxidants and protective coatings.
6. Bending properties
The flexible aluminum alloy after the continuous upgrading of the aluminum alloy has good bending performance, which improves the flexibility of the aluminum alloy conductor. The flexibility of the aluminum alloy is 30% higher than that of copper, and the rebound rate is 40% lower than that of copper. The radius is 10×20 times, while the bending radius of the aluminum alloy cable is only 7 times, which is convenient for connection.
7. Compression characteristics
In terms of volume conductivity alone, aluminum alloy is not as good as copper, but the conductor we developed not only improves the material performance, but also makes a breakthrough in the process. It can reach 0.93, while the compression coefficient of profiled wire can reach 0.95. The aluminum alloy conductor makes up for its lack of conductivity after being squeezed and stranded to the maximum, so that the core of the stranded conductor is like a solid conductor, which obviously reduces the outer diameter of the core and improves the conductivity. The outer diameter of the conductor is only 10% larger than that of the copper cable.
