    Application

    PVC insulated power cable is a common product in the wire and cable industry. Its product features are good physical and mechanical properties, good processing performance, low-cost and low price, distribution lines with A.C.50HZ and voltage rating of up to or including 6KV. However, it contains halogens, and the maximum amount of sheath is used. Some of the most common applications of PVC insulated power cables include:

    Power transmission and distribution:

    PVC insulated power cables are widely used for transmitting and distributing electrical power from one place to another. They are suitable for use in both underground and overhead power transmission systems.

    Building wiring:

    PVC insulated power cables are commonly used for wiring buildings, homes, and offices. They are suitable for use in dry and damp environments and can be installed in conduit or exposed.

    Industrial applications:

    PVC insulated power cables are used in various industrial applications, including manufacturing, oil and gas, and mining. They are used to power machines, conveyors, and other equipment.

    Submarine cables:

    PVC insulated power cables are also used for the transmission of power under the sea. These cables are specially designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the ocean environment.

    Renewable energy applications:

    PVC insulated power cables are used in renewable energy applications such as wind turbines, solar panels, and hydroelectric power stations. They are used to connect the energy generated by these sources to the grid or storage systems.

    Construction

    • Rated voltage: Uo/U:3.6/6kV, 6/10kV (11kV), 12/20kV (24kV), 19/33kV, 26/35kV (35kV).
    • No. of core: Single core or three cores.
    • The maximum rated temperature of the cable conductor is 90°C, and the maximum temperature of the cable conductor does not exceed 250°C when short-circuited (the longest duration does not exceed 5S).
    • The ambient temperature when laying the cable should not be lower than 30°C. The allowable bending radius when laying: single-core cable is not less than 15 times the outer diameter of the cable; multi-core cable is not less than 10 times the outer diameter of the cable.
    • D.C. resistance of the conductor complies with the stipulations of 12/20kV (24kV).
    • The environment temperature should be no lower than 0℃ when lay. Otherwise, it should be preheated.
    • The PVC insulated cable is laid without a horizontal drop limit.
    • Working Frequency Voltage Test: 3.5Uo/5min without puncture.
    • Partial Discharge Test: The discharge volume should be no more than 10pC under 1.73Uo for the cable.

    Performance

    1. The long-time permissible operation temperture of conductor shall not be higher than 70°C.
    2. Conductor maximum short circuit(not more than 5 seconds)temperature shall not be higher than 160°C.
    3. The cable is not limited by drop in level when being laid,and the ambient temperature shall not be lower than 0°C.
    4. Perfect chemical stability,resistant against acids,alkalis,grease and organic solvents,and flame.
    5. Light weight,perfect bending properties,installed and maintained easily and conveniently.
